Welcome everyone.
In a world of diminishing coverage of thoroughbred racing we will try to buck the trend by producing a daily 'what's happened and about to happen' in racing.
Backed up by our successful Facebook, or META, Group page, RACEHORSES AUSTRALIA -boasting 124,000 plus members as at September 2026, we'll take a look at the best aspects of the game - from raceday to breeding to good old fashioned history and crowd favourites.
As far as the politics and administration of racing goes we'll leave that to someone else - it's simply boring and takes the fun out of the game.

Mr Brightside has managed to crush the best horses in the land while winning the Makybe Diva Stakes (G1) for the last 3 years. Back for a 4th attempt he is up against current Cox Plate favourite Sir Delius and the rising star of the turf Sheza Alibi. The recipe is a little different this year - regular partner of Mr B Craig Williams has 'jumped ship' and will ride Sir Delius - and won't it be satisfying to cheer Blake Shinn on Mr B back to scale should they salute. This race is a cracker and not to be missed.
